Last night was the Brit Awards, Britian's version of the Grammy's. Winner's were Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Rihanna, and more. Of course, Adele was the big winner winning Album of the Year. When she went on stage to accept the award she got a standing ovation. Then when she started to thank everyone, she got cut off by the host so Blur could close out the show. What did Adele do then? How about flick off the producers of the show for not allowing her to thank her fans! Check out the video.
Mattel just announced that they will be selling Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge Barbie Dolls in honor of their one year anniversary this April. Each model comes dressed in full wedding costume, replicating the originals worn at Westminster Abbey. As of now, they will only be available to purchase at Amazon UK. I'm waiting for Mattel to make the Kim and Kris Barbie in honor of their one year anniversary.....oh wait, they only lasted 72 days!
I just found a report from The New York Times that says 75% of the populace have used their mobile devices while on the toilet! Yuck! 1,000 people were surveyed and they said they use their cell phone to talk, text, shop, use apps, or just surf the web while on the pot. The survey goes on to say that one-quarter of Americans will not go to the bathroom without their devices. The worst part about this survey is that 20% of males have at one time joined a conference call from the toilet(I've been on a conference call and heard the toilet flush)! What are people thinking! When I am in the bathroom, all I want to do is do my business and get out, especially when there are others in there. This makes you think twice about borrowing someones phone to make a call or play one of their apps! Have you ever used your cell phone in the bathroom?
Superman did it, why can't others fly? Well, now it's possible! Ok, not real people, but RC Planes created to look like real people. That's what happened in New York City this past weekend. There is a new movie coming out called "Chronicle" that is about teenage boys finding out they have super powers and they have the ability to fly. As an advertising stunt, these planes were created and flew around NYC without telling anyone. Onlooker's thought they were real people and started taking pictures and video and it created a big buzz. Check out the video and imagine seeing this without knowing they are RC Planes.
I love my niece Celia! She cracks me up with her squeeky voice, beyond her years vocabulary (already at 3) and bold personality. I just wish I lived closer to experience all of her in person. But, alas, just the sight of her pictures, talking to her on the phone and videos like this, are enough to always put a smile on my face. Can you pick out my niece? I don't think you'll have a difficult time ;-)
