At 51,000 deaths, the fields at Gettysburg served as the stage of the bloodiest and most influential battle of the Civil War. The Pennsylvania town was also the setting of President Abraham Lincoln's most famous speech and the location of President Dwight Eisenhower's personal home now available to the public. The National Park Service Museum and Visitor Center is the place to begin your visit to Gettysburg National Military Park with several exhibits including a 22,000 museum with civil artifacts and relics. Tours of the battleground and the Eisenhower National Historic Site can be purchased at the visitor center as well. Ticket prices vary.
